After the cavalcade of explosions over the past couple days. I woke up this morning and the air still had a burnt powder smell.
That smell triggers a thought every year that always suprises me.
“Crap, half the year is gone.”
Then comes the thoughts of what have I done? What plans did I plan on being done by now and is it realistic to get them done by years end?
A book also comes to mind;”The richest man in Babylon” .
If you want truth this book has plenty.
A few items worth considering:
- No matter how much wealth you have, time is your most precious asset that increases in value regardless of what you do.
- Usually you can have anything in life but not everyhing.
- Spend lavishly your treasure on that one thing for life is to be enjoyed.
- Be careful of your thoughts for they dictate your actions which in turn form habits and define you.
It would have been nice to have this book at thirteen but it has been an asset.
The first half of 2018 gone. Although it was rough, I need to step it up and tick off the items left on my list.
Tick, tock, tick tock…
